Dr. "Mike" Donohue was born and raised in Sioux City,
Iowa. He completed his undergraduate education at Loyola University of the South in
New Orleans, Louisiana. He continued his education at the University of Iowa
School of Medicine, completed his internship at Broadlawns County Hospital in Des Moines,
Iowa, residency at University of Minnesota Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and also
completed his fellowship at the University of Minnesota in the area of Research.
Dr. Donohue is a diplomate with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. In addition, he is active in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Association, Iowa Orthopaedic Society, American Medical Association, Iowa Medical Society, Mid-America Orthopaedic Association, and the Dickinson County Medical Society. He founded Iowa Lakes Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 1985.
