Carrie Dickes was born and raised in Fordyce, Nebraska. She attended Creighton University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She then completed the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Iowa Physician Assistant Society. Ms. Dickes joined Iowa Lakes Orthopaedics in 2007.
