Our History Iowa Lakes Orthopaedics was opened in 1985 by Dr. Mike Donohue. Dr. Donohue was joined by Dr. Timothy Blankers in 2002. The practice expanded with the addition of Courtney Linton in 2003 and Carrie Dickes in 2007. The specialty of orthopaedic surgery involves the care of diseases and injuries to the bones, joints, muscles and tendons. Orthopaedic surgeons often treat fractures, dislocations, arthritis, and sprains and strains of ligaments and muscles. For certain conditions, it is necessary to perform surgery or recommend physical therapy.
